New Smoking Laws For Indiana, USA?

Recently the Indiana Senate passed a new smoking ban law for the state.

This effort had a long, and controversial travel to the final passing vote as the list of exempted establishments continually grew.

The latest version permits smoking to continue in:

  • Bars
  • Casinos
  • Nonprofit private clubs and fraternal organizations (VFW Halls)
  • At-home businesses(not in business area)

If signed into law smoking becomes a thing of the past for:

  • Mental Health, Nursing Facilities
  • Charity gaming events (bingo games, churches)
  • In the workplace

The fate of the bill now lies in the hands of Governor Mitch Daniels, as it waits for his signature decision.
